Danielle is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers. 

 

She has completed a Bachelor of Social Work with Honours from RMIT University, a Graduate Diploma in Adolescent Health and Welfare from Melbourne University, a Developmental Psychiatry Certificate from the Mindful Centre and is a qualified Psychodramatist through the Psychodrama Institute of Melbourne. Danielle is committed to her learning and development as a social worker and counsellor and participates regularly in supervision, professional networks and ongoing training courses.

Danielle also has lived experience of mental illness and supporting close family members affected by chronic health conditions and drug and alcohol problems.

Danielle has worked in both hospital and Non-Government organisations. She has worked for Barwon Health Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, Sunshine Hospital’s Paediatric and Obstetrics Social Work team, the Alfred Hospital Multicultural Health and Support Service and the Royal Children’s Hospital Centre for Adolescent Health.

 

She has over 20 years experience in working with asylum seeker, refugee and migrant families and communities through her work with Foundation House and as a volunteer with the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre and in International Development Projects with which she has been involved.

Danielle currently practices in both Corio and Geelong.
